The first screening of 'Satyagraha' in South Africa

Satyagraha, a Gandhian concept, is the title of Prakash Jha’s upcoming multi-starrer.

Taking this cue, the filmmaker has decided to screen his film in South Africa. Incidentally, Gandhi’s first Satyagraha was in South Africa in 1906 fighting for civil rights for Indians there.

Our source informed us, “A plan is being auctioned right now for a screening in South Africa for Satyagraha because of its inherent Mahatma Gandhi connection.

It is being finalized which cast members will be travelling for the screening.”

Starring brilliant actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Rampal, Ajay Devgn and Amrita Rao, it is slotted for an August 23rd release. The film was extensively shot in Bhopal.

Also actresses Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor who have previously slashed each other on the couch of Karan Johar’s popular chat show, Koffee with Karan, are attempting to reconcile through this.

While a few actors are taking the professional road to mend differences for a greater glorious cause, Actor Salman Khan who too was approached for the song declined it mentioning date issues.

While to rubbish his reasons would be wrong, as the actor indeed has been very busy between shooting for Mental, his impending check up and court dates, many insiders suggest he refused to share screen with Shah Rukh Khan. Their hugely publicized spat has lingered ever since and Salman had obvious issues with sharing his screen space with Shah Rukh Khan.

Salman Khan and SRK had last appeared together in Om Shanti Om’s title song, which saw multiple Bollywood stars shaking their legs for it!

The song will appear in the opening or closing credits of the film and will be choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant.

'I love to see Kareena with other actors', says Saif Ali Khan

For some reason, real-life Bollywood couples never quite make a hit pair on-screen. This holds true too for Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who worked together in Kurbaan (2009) and Agent Vinod (2012).

The now husband-and-wife didn't exactly set the box-office on fire with the films that saw them paired with each other. Ask Saif if he will work with Kareena anytime soon, and he admits that "there are no such plans".

He says that he'd rather see his wife working with other actors. "It's much more interesting to see off-screen couples working with other people on-screen. I love seeing Kareena working with other heroes - and I am sure audiences do as well. And I look forward to working with other girls," says the actor.

Saif says that being actors doesn't spill into their personal equation. "Professional and personal lives should be kept completely separate," he says, adding, however, that "it's not always easy, but that's what the intention is".

Saif and Kareena are set to go to the Maldives on holiday as soon as they finish their films Bullet Raja and Satyagraha respectively. "We always make time for each other. But right now, it's time to work. It's a great thing that we're both shooting at the same time. That way, you don't have to worry about what your partner is doing," he says.

Is Hrithik Roshan desperate to play with Kareena Kapoor?

Hrithik Roshan – who was rumoured to have dated Kareena Kapoor right before Subhash Ghai’s ‘Yaadein’ hit the theatres – is keen to work with the actress yet again.

Reportedly, during an interview, when asked if Kareena would share screen space with him in Karan Johar’s ‘Shuddhi’, Hrithik said, “Love love love to work with Kareena Kapoor”.

The two actors have earlier shared sizzling hot chemistry in ‘Yaadein’, ‘Kabhi khushi kabhi Gham’, ‘Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon’ and ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’. And it would be interesting to see if they can recreate the same magic once again in ‘Shuddhi’.
