Pooja Copra plagiarized Kareena Kapoor Khan in 'Commando'

Former Miss. India Pooja Chopra has stepped into Bollywood with Vipul Shah’s ‘Commando’. Just one South Indian film old, Pooja’s sizzling chemistry with relatively newbie Vidyut Jamwal has been the talk of town. On an individual level however, she has been continuously compared with Kareena Kapoor which Pooja clearly denies.

Actually, the character Simran she plays in ‘Commando’ is quite similar to Kareena’s famous character Geet in ‘Jab We Met’. In fact, Simran talks like Geet only. When we probed whether such comments bother Pooja, she quickly reverts, “First of all, it will be foolish to ape someone like Kareena Kapoor and that too Geet which was class-apart. I would appeal to the audience to not be judgmental about my acting prowess by looking at two and half minute. They must the watch the film and then, give their opinion.”

She further admits about certain similarities between Geet and Simran but continues to be in the denial mode regarding blatantly aping Kareena. “Simran and Geet are different. Only similarity is the Punjabi tadka put in both the characters but that doesn’t necessarily mean Simran is Geet. The character I play has an identity of her own and I repeat I’ll foolish if I copy Kareena’s style at the beginning of my career.”
