Jiah Khan's family gave the letter to police

The six-page letter allegedly written by Jiah Khan which threw light on her troubled relationship was handed over to the police by her family on Saturday.

The police now plan to send the letter for forensic examination and will later take legal opinion on it. dna was the first to report about the letter in its Friday (June 7) edition.

“We have received the letter from Khan’s family. A handwriting analysis will be done, followed by legal opinion,” said additional commissioner of police (western region) VN Patil.

Family sources said officials did a panchnama of the letter in presence of independent witnesses. The police will soon record the statement Khan’s family members again over the letter.
