Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) is jointly organized by Lakmé, the leading cosmetics and beauty services brand in India and IMG Reliance, the global leader in sports and entertainment event marketing and management.
LFW is organized twice every year. LFW 2013 will be held from March 22 to March 26th at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Mumbai.
On all these five days LFW will play host to a variety of upcoming designers, veterans and glamorous faces from Bollywood film industry. The main attraction of the show is the ramp walk of actor Kareena Kapoor on the grand finale. She will be the shows topper at the fashion extravaganza wearing the outfit designed by renowned designer Namrata Joshipura.
Kareena Kapoor paraded around in a Kallol Datta and a Pankaj and Nidhi creation in Lakme Fashion Week 2012.
Purnima Lamba, head of Innovations said this year also Kareena, being the brand ambassador of Lakme, would be walking the ramp for the finale. She said the actress was quite excited about her appearance and they hoped she would spare some time for the fashion show in her busy schedule.
Kareena’s designer Joshipura said she was looking forward to work with Kapoor on the show. She is very happy to showcase her collection on the stage, which would be a blend of contemporary and modern designs.
Joshipura had also done an interaction with Kareena and her focus would be to keep Kareena look quite to match the essence of the show, which is contemporary modern.
Shahid Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor will be walking the ramp for Menswear specialist designer Kunal Rawal on 23rd March, 2013.
Renowned designers including Manish Malhotra, Vikram Phadnis, Nishika Lulla, Masaba, Rocky S, Gaurang Shah, Bhairavi Jaikishan and Swapnil Shinde will showcase their works in the Lakme Fashion Week 2013.
