The city is in for a treat as Bollywood’s biggest
stars including Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor are in
town for the shooting of their upcoming flick ‘Satyagraha’. The film
stars Kareena Kapoor and Ajay Devgn arrived in the city on Tuesday while
Big B will join them later in the day.
The shooting for Prakash Jha’s upcoming flick Satyagraha – based on
Anna Hazare’s anti-corruption movement - has been scheduled around
Chiklod road in the city. Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn arrived in the city
through a chartered plane while Kareena Kapoor took an Air India flight
to reach her destination.
One one hand, where Ajay Devgn looked casual in his blue denims and
blue sweat shirt, Kareena Kapoor carried her glamour to the city in
blue denims paired with a white top and a stylish coat to top it all. In
order to catch a glimpse of their favourite star, people in large
numbers clouded over the exit gate at the city airport.
The two film stars were escorted out of the city airport under
heavy security. The stars arrived to a grand welcome at Noor-Us-Sabah
Palace in the city where the duo will stay during the shoot. The red
carpet was rolled out for the stars with a grand welcome ceremony
including aarti, teeka and garland.
Kareena Kapoor’s husband, Saif Ali Khan’s extended royal family is
also settled in the Madhya Pradesh capital. The couple will bring in
Valentine’s Day in the city and Kareena Kapoor has reportedly received a
solitaire from hubby Saif Ali Khan.
The hotel staff has decked up their prestigious suites to
accommodate the film stars. Kareena Kapoor is staying in Room No. 304 –
Najeer Abdullah suite, while Ajay Devgn has been accommodated in Room
No. 303 – Kamar Taj suite.
The film stars discussed their scenes, to be shot on Wednesday,
with director Prakash Jha. The first scene of the movie ‘Satyagraha’
will be shot at a bridge, situated on Chiklod road, around 9 am on
Wednesday. The shooting will last till April 22 in the city.
The other prominent locations, selected for the shoot, include
Rizwan Bagh, Benazir Ground and Central Library in the city. The film
Satyagraha – based on Anna Hazare’s anti-corruption movement - will be
released on August 15.
