The finale by Namrata Joshipura will be inspired by Lakme Absolute's latest collection - Pop Tints.
-Tell us about your association with Lakme and Lakme Fashion Week...
Lakme is a brand that has always understood the beauty needs of the Indian woman and ensured that she is given the best of beauty and fashion to choose from. The brand has been shaping beauty trends through the Lakme Fashion Week for the Indian woman who knows her makeup and knows her fashion. I have always loved Lakme's collections and I'm delighted to be associated with the brand. This is my second time at the Lakme Fashion Week as the grand finale showstopper and I'm very proud to be associated with India's most coveted fashion event, yet again.
-Can you tell us something about the collection launched by Lakme this time?
Lakme, every season, puts out a collection that defines the beauty and fashion statement for the season. This time it is 'Pop Tints', which is inspired by bright neon colours trending worldwide. I love this collection of pop-coloured lip and nail tints. Each shade is beautifully inspired by hues of neon, sorbets and jellies and captures the spirit and exuberance of the contemporary Indian woman. My favourite shades are Blue Breeze in nail tint and Candy Kiss in lip tint. I especially love the lip tint, which leaves a lovely pop colour on the lips with a lasting shine.
-What do think about Namrata Joshipura's collection and being the showstopper again?
Namrata is one of my personal favourites. She is a true fashion 'artiste' and her contemporary, cutting-edge aesthetic promises to make a dramatic statement this season. I have worn her designs on several occasions and working with her for this fashion week was great. She brings out the best of both contemporary and ethnicity. The new collection is exciting and every colour and outfit is a style statement in itself. Being the Grand Finale showstopper for the second time in a row is an absolute pleasure. My look is extremely contemporary, chic and bold. You will have to wait till this evening to see the dress she has designed for me. But, needless to say, like the Pop Tints range by Lakme Absolute, it will reflect my personality - happy and vibrant.
-What are you makeup essentials?
Kohl is a definitely a must-have. I feel eyes are incomplete without kohl, and I always carry my Absolute Ultimate Kohl along with the Absolute Mousse Mattreal Mousse, that gives me a relaxed glow at all times of the day. I am also in love with the new lip tints from the Pop Tints range.
